“The ocean is my canvas; every wave is a brushstroke of freedom.”

Born and raised in Uluwatu, Bali, Taina Angel Izquierdo carries the ocean in her DNA. Her first wave was tandem with her father at Baby Padang Padang, and her first solo drop-in was straight into the Uluwatu cave—a memory etched in saltwater and adrenaline. Her favorite surf spot remains Uluwatu, “home, full of energy and history,” while Lakey Peak in Sumbawa is a second home.

Outside the water, Taina is a foodie, painter, and baker, balancing creativity with rigorous gym training. She’s faced fear in the waves, like a session where panic nearly overcame her—only to be rescued by a friend. Such experiences reinforced her philosophy: the ocean demands respect, patience, and presence.
